Searching for quality narrators was a difficult feat for my team and me. In fact, we outsourced for the task. Having a complex character in my best-selling series, Love In Rhythm & Blues, the selection for the voice of Ragee McKinnon had to be meticulous. Malik’s voice, by way of a recording sample, was the first and only to be agreeable to the soul of Ragee’s within seconds of me hearing it. Fast forward to when he took on the narration role: Malik transformed into my character seamlessly. He took direction very well, becoming a talented and successful R&B superstar with a haunted past. Malik has been extremely professional and down to earth since day one. He’s been attentive to my concerns and inexhaustible demands. He’s been flexible with his schedule, too.
